When Game of Thrones first aired back in 2011, it changed the landscape of television.
Everyone was talking about it and as the years went on and the seasons rolled by, it only grew in popularity.
Sadly, the show’s legacy was tarnished by a controversial ending that HBO has been desperately trying to distance itself from since.
It’s resulted in House of the Dragon, a prequel series set hundreds of years before Ned Stark lost his head.
Focusing on the Targaryen dynasty that once dominated Westeros with its dragons and wealth, the show looks to be recapturing the spirit of what fans originally loved.

What is the plot of House of the Dragon?
House of the Dragon is an adaptation of author George RR Martin’s book, Fire & Blood, which is an account of the Targaryen history.
Set 200 years before Game of Thrones, the story focuses on the event known as the Dance of the Dragons.

It was during this time that the dragons seemingly went extinct, at least for the next couple hundred years or so.
