House fire in Fife as emergency crews battle blaze in Dalgety Bay

Emergency crews are battling a house fire in Fife as thick black smoke rises from a property in Dalgety Bay. Scottish Fire and Rescue have said that the incident on The Wynd in the coastal town is ongoing as fire officers try to bring the blaze under control.

In a video shared with the Record, black smoke and flames can be seen rising from the back of the house as a fire alarm beeps loudly. Four appliances have been sent to the fire.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Fire crews responded at 3.40pm on 12 July to a report of a fire at The Wynd at Dalgety Bay. Operations and control mobilised four appliances to a fire affecting the roof of a two single-story property. There are no reported casualties at this time and crews are still at the scene."

Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service have been approached for comment.
