Firefighters were mobilised in the middle of night to a large fire at a house in Barns Close, Barrow Gurney. Crews from Bedminster and Temple rushed to the property at around 2.50am this morning (January 20) after receiving reports of the fire.
The crews battled the blaze that started in the log store outside the property. Ambulance crews attended the scene and Avon Fire and Rescue Service confirmed no one was harmed in the incident.
Avon and Fire Rescue said: "Crews from Bedminster and Temple were called at 2.50am to reports of a fire at a residential property.

"On arrival, firefighters found a fire in the log store outside the property. Crews used two high pressure hose reels and two 45mm safety jets to extinguish the blaze. Four firefighters wore breathing apparatus for safety.
"A thermal imaging camera and gas monitor were also used. All persons were accounted for and there were fortunately no casualties. Our ambulance colleagues were also in attendance.
"The cause of the fire is currently unknown."
