The mixed November conditions look set to continue in the North East as the region looks set for rain, winds and sunny spells this weekend.
According to leading meteorologists the Met Office, the North East looks set for a mild start to the weekend with the mercury set to hit a maximum temperature of 11 °C before cooler spells as the week comes to a close.
The North East is set to experience patchy spells of light rain and winds that are likely to get stronger over the course of Saturday.

The Met Office have forecast the following conditions for Saturday: "Chilly and bright to start. Cloud increasing and winds strengthening during the day, bringing patchy outbreaks of mainly light rain, spreading eastwards from early afternoon.
"Becoming windy over higher ground. Maximum temperature 11 °C."
As we head into Sunday, the rain and strong winds are expected to clear with the end to the weekend set to be the more pleasant day of the two with a largely dry, bright day- albeit with cooler temperatures.
The Met Office have forecast the following conditions for Sunday: "Overnight rain and strong winds clearing by Sunday to leave a largely dry, bright day. Cooler."
