Monday's cold weather is set to continue into Tuesday, but there's a slight reprieve from the sub-zero temperatures due on Wednesday, although it will stay very cold.
It will be noon tomorrow before the mercury rises to 0°C, and it will stay there until teatime, before sinking back to sub-zero overnight. Although it will be a bright couple of days, you'll need to wrap up warm if you're planning on venturing outside in the next couple of days.
Although the temperature will rise to a high of 2°C on Wednesday, there is still a yellow weather warning for up to 20cm of snow and ice issued for the North East by Met Office forecasters, with travel disruption expected. The warning is in place until Thursday.
