Hotel in picturesque beauty spot for sale for first time in 35 years as owners retire

A HOTEL nestled in a small village in the Perth and Kinross area has gone up for sale for the first time in 35 years as the owners look to retire.

The Rosemount Hotel is a popular hotel and entertainment venue housed within a Victorian building in the picturesque village of Pitlochry.

The business comprises two junior suites and 14 letting bedrooms, as well as a south-facing outdoor terrace.

It also includes four staff bedrooms and a large onsite car park.

The current owners, who have operated the business for more than three decades, have built a reputation for providing “high-quality” letting rooms with extensive dining and public spaces, as well as being pet-friendly, the letting agency said.

The Rosemount Hotel is in the heart of the Victorian town, which is a popular tourist destination as it is surrounded by beautiful countryside.

Pitlochry is on the main A9 route between Edinburgh and the Highlands, which makes the town a popular stop-off destination for visitors travelling between the capital, the northern city of Inverness, and the NC500.

The business is being brought to the market by Christie & Co and has an asking price of £1,200,000.

Gary Witham, director for hotels at Christie & Co, said: “This is a sizeable property in a fantastic town centre location.

“Pitlochry remains a ‘go to’ location for activity holidays, general tourism and as a gateway to the Highlands and beyond.”
