A SCOTTISH hotel has been named in the top 15 in the world in a range of categories as part of an awards ceremony.
Killiecrankie House in Perthshire was named in the top 15 hotels from around the globe in four categories in the LLM Readers’ Travel Awards 2024.
The awards shine a spotlight across 29 award categories on the very best hotels, airlines, tour operators and sought-after destinations across the world.
Killiecrankie House ranked in the top 15 in all four of the categories the Perthshire establishment was shortlisted in, including:
- Ranking seventh out of 16 finalists in the best hotel for wine category
- Ranking 10th out of 78 finalists in the best hotel for food category
- Ranking 14th out of 72 finalists in the best hotel for romance category
- Ranking 15th out of 49 finalists in the best boutique hotel category
During the process, shortlisted nominees were narrowed down by an expert panel of judges according to a strict set of criteria before LLM’s readers picked their favourite.
After months of deliberation and votes from more than 32,000 readers, the results were announced.
Tom and Matilda Tsappis, the co-owners of Killiecrankie House, commented: ‘’This is our second year of being shortlisted as finalists, and then successfully securing rankings in the top 15 in each of the categories we were fortunate to feature in.
"Having the opportunity to feature once more alongside some of the world’s greatest hotel names in the hospitality industry is quite something for a restaurant with rooms in the heart of Scotland and as ever our reputation and continued growth in stature is entirely down to the people we work with and how they look after our guests, and we can’t thank them enough for all their efforts this year.’’
