A red-hot holiday snack enjoyed by Brits across many popular destinations is going on sale in the UK - and fans are ecstatic. Morrisons is now stocking legendary Lay's crisps in its World Food aisle - and they're usually not widely available in this country.
A shopper discovered a pack of the brand's BBQ flavour during a visit to the store and posted to the Facebook group Newfoodsuk. And one fan responded: "How much are they? Just so I can work out how many packs I can buy with the rest of my wages and how many will be acceptable to buy?"
Lay's crisps are normally available in countries like Spain, Greece and the USA, although they are owned by PepsiCo - the same company behind traditional UK snack brand Walkers. Now, Morrisons are selling two flavours in most UK stores - barbeque (140G) as well as mushroom and sour cream (140g).
Both varieties are priced at £1.95 per bag. Barbeque flavoured Lay's are available at more than 300 stores nationwide, but lesser-known mushroom and sour cream variety is only on sale at 180 outlets.
