Authorities in the central Dutch town of Ede detained one individual after an alleged hostage situation unfolded at a local bar. The incident led to the evacuation of approximately 150 homes in the vicinity, as confirmed by local police. While the motive behind the assailant's actions remains unclear, authorities have stated that there is no indication of terrorism involved.
Reportedly, the incident transpired at the Petticoat cafe, a popular bar and nightclub in the area. Earlier on Saturday morning, three hostages were released, with the final hostage being freed later in the day.
