Hospitalizations down, but two more COVID-19-related deaths in New Brunswick

FREDERICTON — There are 112 people hospitalized in New Brunswick as a result of COVID-19 — a drop of four from Sunday. 

Health officials said today 13 patients are in intensive care, two fewer than the day before, and seven people remain on ventilators.  

Provincial data shows there have been two more COVID-19-related deaths, bringing the total to 292.

The latest deaths involve a person over the age of 90 in the Moncton region and someone in their 70s in the Fredericton area.  

There are 331 health-care staff who are isolating after testing positive for COVID-19.

So far, 47.9 per cent of New Brunswickers aged five and over have received a booster of COVID-19 vaccine, while 86 per cent have had two doses.
