PEACE RIVER looks ready to open his account over obstacles in the Join Racing TV Now Maiden Hurdle (1.40) at Warwick.
Alan King's runner shaped with promise when finishing second at Huntingdon in November. Behind cosy winner John Locke, back in third that day was Graystone, a rival who has reached a solid level of form.
He has gone on to take another two races, while Peace River has run once, when down the field at the same track 97 days ago. Found to be lame on that occasion, it was not his true running and Tom Bellamy's mount is fancied to get back on track.
