Horse racing tips and best bets for Plumpton, Stratford, Taunton, and Wolverhampton

The countdown to the Cheltenham Festival is well and truly on.

And after that attention will turn to the Grand National at Aintree.

Our man Garry Owen picks out his best bets and selections every day right here.

Here's a preview to Monday's action.

SOME DETAIL (3:10) can bolster our Festival funds by landing the William Hill Chase at Taunton.

Nigel Hawke’s charge made a cracking return to fences when slamming Esprit De Somoza here.

The gelding was staying-on strongly over three miles so he can land a stronger event up in trip.

The shrewd Devon handler can double-up with SINDABELLA (4:50) in the staying hurdle.

The mare is nicely unexposed over three miles after being chinned by Flying Nun over track and trip.

Tom Lacey has hit top gear so I’m on DIBBLE DECKER (3:45) in the feature handicap hurdle.

Impressive at Huntingdon, the gelding improved again when second to Osprey Call at Warwick.

That is excellent form so this pacey type can take full advantage of a reasonable opening mark.

ROYAL PLAZA (4:20) can shade a competitive two-miler for the skilled Katie Stephens.

The veteran chaser returned with a creditable second behind Go As You Please at Warwick.

The 11-year-old looks fairly-treated so he can go one better with that run under his belt.

RAFFLES GITANE (1:45) can plunder the novice chase at Stratford for Harry Whittington.

The mare improved for the return to two miles when routing Galop De Chasse at Huntingdon.

That race is working out extremely well so the five-year-old can land another tricky contest.

FLEURMAN (2:20) can maintain Olly Murphy’s winning run in a red-hot juvenile hurdle.

The grey rates a sure-fire improver after absolutely bolting up from Krypton Gold at Market Rasen.

The handler can also claim the bumper with eye-catching Huntingdon second RAMBO T (4:40).

Jane Williams is flying at present so I’m on ESPRIT DE SOMOZA (2:55) in the handicap chase.

The eight-year-old ran another stormer when second to Some Detail over three miles at Taunton.

The gelding remains open to plenty of progress over fences so he can prevail slightly down in trip.

OSPREY CALL (3:30) can swoop for Alastair Ralph in the Racing TV Handicap Hurdle.

The gelding returned to his excellent novice form when cosily denying Dibble Decker at Warwick.

The seven-year-old still lurks on a decent mark so he can continue his revival in another fair contest.
