A Lanarkshire mum is warning tourists to stay away from an apartment in England after she came across "pubic hairs", "rubbish" and "fleas".
Visiting Liverpool for the weekend to celebrate her daughter's 30th with five of her friends, Caroline Donnelly from Cumbernauld said that her original accommodation was cancelled.
Thankfully however, the landlord was able to quickly fix the situation and find a new place for her to stay.

As reported by the Daily Record, they helped to rearrange the 54-year-old’s living arrangements and booked for the group to stay at OPP Apartment BC7 which was advertised as a “beautiful” Merseyside apartment.
However upon inspection, the group were left less than impressed after photos are said to show the dirty state of the apartment with Caroline adding that her sister-in-law, Anne-Marie, was "bitten by fleas". This resulted in her having to pay £11.99 for a cream from the local pharmacy to soothe the pain.
After being bitten when sleeping on a sofa bed, Anne-Marie said she moved to one of the double beds. However when she "ripped it up", she found stains on the sheets.
She also said that she found pubic hairs on the beds as well as missing screws and bolts from the chairs. Talking to the Liverpool Echo Caroline said that although it seemed "nice" at first, it wasn't as clean as it appeared.
Caroline told the ECHO: “At first [the new flat] did look quite nice but it became apparent quite quickly that it was actually filthy. The photos of the apartment were gorgeous but it was nothing like that inside.
“I would recommend going to Liverpool, it's a fantastic city but I would not recommend this apartment… It's disgusting. The outside area was appalling, there was rubbish everywhere.

“That’s not the way to treat people. Even with a bit of compensation I would have been happy with.
“They were not going to do anything about it. It’s not right to take people’s money like that.”
The group paid £400 for two nights in the city on the FA cup final weekend between Friday, May 13 and Sunday, May 15.
In an email, On Point Properties, who manage the apartment, told Caroline they had never received "reports of bites from this apartment". According to the company, pest control found no evidence that the holiday home was infested with "fleas or any other insects".
The Daily Record contacted On Point Properties Limited, but the company declined to comment.
