Locals have reacted to the death of a man in Leith, after police scrambled to a housing scheme near a school where he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police and paramedics were called to Primrose Street, Leith, at around 2.30pm on Tuesday June 5. Officers have opened inquiries to establish the full circumstances.
One local business owner, Jessica Ruan, spoke to Edinburgh Live after her takeaway restaurant Oriental Delight on Primrose Street reopened on Tuesday evening. She said: "We had to close for a while, I saw police drive onto the street then all of a sudden we were told to close.

"We reopened at around 5pm. We weren't told much, but people have said that a man is dead. Very sad."
Just round the corner the owner of Pizza Pakwan, Mukhtar Aziz, was just discovering the news when Edinburgh Live spoke to him. He told us: "I didn't know anything until two seconds ago, but it's awful.
"Very sad. Terribly sad, there's too much of this."
A local resident, Gemma Malek, who lives nearby told Edinburgh Live : "It’s pretty scary to think about it happening so close. Obviously we don’t know the situation but it makes you worried about leaving the house, especially when it’s not the first time someone’s been killed in the last few weeks."
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.30pm on Tuesday, 6 June, we were called to a report of a man injured in the Primrose Street area of Edinburgh.
"Emergency services attended and the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
