Horrific Leeds homophobic attack sees two men punched in the face as pair wanted by police

Police are searching for two men in connection to a homophobic assault that left two men injured on New Year’s Day in Leeds.

Two men who were walking in Boar Lane were abused by two unknown men getting in a taxi at around 5.30am.

The men then followed the victims before assaulting them and they were left with “injuries to their faces.”

The two victims were taken to hospital for treatment and have since recovered, West Yorkshire Police has said.

However, the force has now released CCTV images of the two men they would like to identify, who may be able to assist with the enquiries.
