The Charlotte Hornets secured their back up point guard for the remainder of the season.
On Tuesday, the Hornets announced that they’ve signed veteran guard Isaiah Thomas for the remainder of the 2021-22 season after signing two 10-day contracts with the team.

Prior to his signing with the Hornets, Thomas played on 10-day contracts with the Los Angeles Lakers and the Dallas Mavericks, along with playing for the Grand Rapids Gold, the G League affiliate for the Denver Nuggets.
In his nine games as a member of the Hornets, the team holds a record of 7-2, including their current five-game winning streak. Appearing in seven games for Charlotte, Thomas is averaging 9.9 points and 2.0 assists per game while shooting 48% from 3-point range in 13 minutes per game.
