The Boston Celtics unleashed a fury unlike anything we have seen from the team in some time against the Charlotte Hornets at TD Garden on Monday night to improve to 17-4 overall as they obliterated the Hornets to the tune of 140-105, scoring 45 points in the game’s first frame alone.
One of the most impressive offensive performances by Boston in ages, the Celtics led wire-to-wire with a lead as large as 42 points. Jayson Tatum led all players with 35 points, and four other players scored in double figures in the win. They include Marcus Smart (22 points and a career-high 15 assists), Malcolm Brogdon (21 points, 5 boards, and 6 assists off of the bench), and Sam Hauser (11 points).
