'Hopeless' gambler with AFL connection guilty of fraud

A "hopeless" gambler convicted of conning a couple out of half a million dollars wagered most of it of it betting platforms within hours.

Christopher Michael Brown, 32, was on Friday found guilty in the WA District Court of defrauding Bradley and Jennifer Shepherd on two occasions in 2020.
