Manchester United fans are pleased that Facundo Pellistri will be staying at the club beyond January but wish to see Erik ten Hag use the winger more often.
After featuring for Uruguay at the World Cup, Pellistri was handed his competitive debut in this month’s 3-0 win over Charlton in the League Cup, grabbing the assist for one of Marcus Rashford’s two goals.
He also came on for the final 20 minutes of United’s 3-0 first leg win over Nottingham Forest in the semi-final of the competition on Wednesday and managed to break the defensive line a number of times.

Amid a lack of game time, Pellistri had been linked with a loan move away, with his agent eager for his client to enjoy regular game time. However, Ten Hag always wanted to keep the 21-year-old among his ranks and confirmed on Friday that the South American would stay in Manchester for the rest of the season.
"We have our ideas, for some players we are open for loans but with some players they are not, because they are first, talented, they have to develop first in our environment,” he added.
“Second, we have many games to cover and we need players to cover that. When you play 30 games in 10 days you need a lot of players. The way we put on Pellistri on Wednesday is already a signal."
United supporters welcomed the news and reacted on social media in delight. Seemingly all agreed this was the right decision with some adding that they wish to see more of Pellistri on the pitch, rather than be a mere squad filler for the rest of the campaign.

@JaePsalm: Hopefully we get to see him more like we've been seeing Garnacho.
@FPLfrasier: Finally, Erik ten Hag has seen the talent. Give Pellistri more game time. He clearly has the talent. Let him show what he can do.
@manchesterander: So happy to hear this hopefully he gets more minutes.
@maxmufc7: Good news.
