Manchester United supporters have called for Erik ten Hag to give youngster Facundo Pellistri a chance in the first-team when the domestic season resumes after the World Cup.
The 20-year-old came off the bench as Uruguay lost 2-0 to Portugal in their World Cup Group H clash on Monday night, with Bruno Fernandes scoring a brace for Fernando Santos' side as they secured their spot in the knockout stages of the tournament. Pellistri was sent on in the 62nd minute and impressed in the latter stages of the game.
Pellistri, who arrived at Old Trafford in 2020, has made the Reds bench on several occasions this term, but is yet to feature for Ten Hag's men. His only appearance this campaign came for the U21s during their victory over Barrow in the EFL Trophy.
