Hope blooms at Central Embassy

Have a picnic at Central Embassy, where "The Living Ground: Hope's Garden" is taking place until June 7.

The garden-inspired art installation is the first collaboration between Vachboy (left), the artist known for his flower character called "Hope" and his distinctive neo-pop art style, and Eyedropper Fill (right), a leading experiential design studio.

Central Embassy has been transformed into a picnic garden-meets-interactive art exhibition to inspire positivity and encourage visitors to reconnect with their true selves.

The pièce de résistance is a large-scale interactive art installation on Level G, centred around Vachboy's flower character. Created for the event, the Hope sculpture stands more than five metres tall. The garden is in a purple gradient palette that blends the familiarity of nature with surreal elements, symbolising the moment when dreams begin to emerge within one’s thoughts.

Hope is depicted gently reaching out to touch its own flower petals, representing a return to self-awareness and a rediscovery of the deeply rooted identity within — something many may have unintentionally forgotten. The act of reconnecting with oneself serves as a reminder of one’s own existence and inner value. Hope is surrounded by their friends, further bringing the garden to life with warmth and imagination.

A hidden highlight comes the moment visitors “hug” Hope. The lights and the expressions of the flower friends transform into joyful smiling faces, reflecting how hope can be shared and passed on from one person to another. Aww.

Moreover, visitors can also interact with various flower companions in playful ways. Some flowers gently turn and follow people’s movements, as if visitors are the sun they are always reaching toward, while others respond when approached by playing soft melodies.

Beyond the art installations, the event also features thoughtfully curated activity zones. "Garden In A Cup" By Adam N Eve is a special station for health-conscious visitors to enjoy crafted Greek frozen yoghurt made with 0% sugar. You can mix and match toppings to customise their bowl. "Garden Goods" is all about lifestyle items, including specially designed rugs, keychains, stickers and exclusive merchandise by Vachboy available only at this event.

"Garden To Go" is an exclusive creative workshop featuring specially designed character flower vases by Vachboy. Customers can colour and design their own flowers in signature paper vases.

There are also weekly activities to enjoy:

• From May 29-31: Join a special workshop led by Vachboy, where participants can create and customise one-of-a-kind lifestyle items of their own design.

• From June 1-4: Enjoy an immersive musical journey through vinyl sounds by DJ Vinyl.

• From June 5-7: Explore a pop-up vinyl store and enjoy live DJ Vinyl sessions by Record This, creating a special soundtrack amidst the art garden atmosphere. Guests can also create their very own one-of-a-kind vinyl record to take home.

The event also extends to Open House on Level 6. "Craft The Earth By Qualy" is an exhibition celebrating World Environment Month, featuring more than 30 paintings and sculptures by 15 contemporary Thai artists. The exhibition is accompanied by a sustainable market and workshops, inviting visitors to explore sustainable living concepts through art and design from June 3-30.
