Honey Boo Boo has clapped back at trolls and urged people to 'get out of my face' after receiving hate for her age gap romance with Dralin Carswell.
The reality TV star, 17, started dating 21-year-old Dralin last summer, with the couple going Instagram official in September of that year.
Honey Boo Boo, real name Alana Thompson, says she has faced a severe backlash for her relationship, with some people slamming the fact that Dralin is a college student while she is still in high school.
"Half of ya’lls mom’s are like 43 and their dad’s are like 70 so get out of my face," she hit back during an appearance on the Dumb Blonde podcast.
Honey Boo Boo's family have been supportive of her relationship with Dralin. Her sister Lauryn Shannon, who was granted sole custody of Alana in April, defended the couple.
"She’s not getting married, she’s not having a kid, she’s doing very good in school.," Lauryn said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
She added that despite the age gap, Alana and Dralin are "on the same wavelength".
Honey Boo Boo's mum 'Mama' June Shannon also defended her daughter and insisted she is old enough to make her own decisions.
"She is getting a lot of hate because she’s in an interracial relationship [and] he is older.
"At the end of the day, Alana’s not that 6-, 7-year-old child y’all fell in love with 11 years ago. Alana has grown up, she’s graduating high school next year, guys," June told TooFab in May.
Dralin and Honey Boo Boo sparked engagement rumours earlier this year when she was spotted wearing a diamond ring.
The speculation was quickly shut down, with a representative for Alana clarifying at the time that it was "just a ring".
Honey Boo Boo rose to fame at just five years old when she burst onto our screens alongside her family on the show Toddlers & Tiaras.
