A homicide suspect crashed a stolen police cruiser through a home in Ohio before attempting to bite an officer and steal his gun.
The chase began after Tywon Dashawn Stephens, 27, drove at high speed through the scene of traffic accident in Dayton on September 3.
Newly released dash and bodycam shows police pursuing Stephens before bringing him to a half with a PIT maneuver.
After giving officers the slip during a foot chase, Stephens then managed to jump in a police vehicle and drove it at high speed through a home on Greenway Street.
He allegedly then tried to steal an arresting officer’s gun and bite him. Seven police officers were injured while taking him into custody.
Two people in the home were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Stephens is a suspect in the shooting of Tiffany N. Collins in Miami Township and a carjacking in Moraine.
