Gardai in Offaly are warning homeowners of a new and very convincing scam that has caught a number of people out.
According to officers, two men have been doing the rounds impersonating gardai, as a way to get inside people’s homes in the area.
These men are questioning people on their doorsteps, asking if they have been the victim of any crime in recent months and if they can have a look around their house.
