A fire broke out as a homeowner was cutting their hedge with a chainsaw in Nailsea. The blaze prompted fire crews to rush to the scene on Trendlewood Way at around noon on Monday (June 5).
The flames quickly spread to an adjacent street light and smoke was seen billowing across the road. It is believed the hedge caught fire while the owner of the house was cutting it with the chainsaw.
As reported by Somerset Live, Avon Fire and Rescue Service crews from Nailsea and Bedminster attended the hedgerow fire. They used high pressure hose reel jets to put out the flames.
