Homelessness numbers have exceeded 12,000 people for the first time in Ireland as the latest figures once again break records.
Figures released by the Department of Housing show that 12,259 people were living in emergency accommodation in April.
It is the first set of homeless figures to account for the end of the eviction ban on March 31.
