CCTV caught the shocking moment a homeless man was viciously beaten by a group of teenagers in a car park.
The appalling attack was caught in a video which is believed to have been filmed by a nearby car passenger.
Five young men and one girl can be seen punching and kicking the man's makeshift bed in the multi-storey facility.
At one point, the victim is even hit over the head with a bottle while a shirtless thug kicks him and a third repeatedly punches his face, head and body.
The video of the attack at Moorfield car park in Truro, Cornwall has been shared widely on social media, Cornwall Live reports.
Police and the city's antisocial behaviour officer, Stephen Lennon, are understood to have been made aware of the seemingly unprovoked violence.
Cornwall Live reporter Olivier Vergnault went to visit the scene earlier today amid fears the victim has not been seen or heard from since the incident.
He wasn't there and his condition is unknown - but the same bedding as seen in the video and believed to belong to him was.
Many people who have seen the video in question as it was shared on Facebook have described the attack as sickening.
Truro lifelong resident Paul Caruana posted about it on the Truro...Our City page: "I have just received five videos of five teenagers kicking and beating a homeless man in the car park last night.
"The videos can’t be posted on here. However, the anti social behaviour officer and the police are involved.
"These videos make horrific viewing. One female involved. What in the world possesses these youngsters?"
Another person who saw the video said: "What is wrong with people? This is disgusting."
Marie Harris commented: "This is disgusting. A poor defenceless man. I hope they are punished for this."
Someone else who didn't want to be named added: "I hope the people that did it get in trouble with the police. Awful stuff."
Vanessa Terry also saw the video as it is doing the rounds on Facebook.
She said: "I have just seen the video and it’s the worst thing I have ever seen nearly made me sick.
"These people need exactly what they have."
Tina Barton added: "I hope he is ok. What horrid horrid people those who did that are."
Charlotte Pratt contacted Cornwall Live after seeing the sickening video.
She said: "It has come to my attention that an innocent homeless man was beaten up today by a group of teens.
"While naming and shaming is very deserved I feel that as a community we should come together and do something about this to benefit this poor man!
"It would be great if somehow gather a group of people who would be willing to chip in so we could get this man something he needs like a new blanket and some food that will last a while.
"However I have no idea who this man is and where to find him.
"I feel that as a community we could all change this into a positive… but without your help I doubt we will be able to find him."
A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police said its officers in the city are aware of the video circulating on Facebook and Snapchat and had launched an investigation.
He added: "Truro police are aware of footage that has been circulated on social media in relation to an incident in the city centre.
"We would like to reassure the public that we will be investigating this promptly and robustly to ensure those responsible are brought to justice.
"If anyone has witnessed this incident please contact Truro Police via our 101 telephone system or visit the Devon and Cornwall Police web site and select "live chat."
