Home buyers warned they have just days left to avoid thousands in extra costs

The clock is ticking for prospective homebuyers in England and Northern Ireland, with only days remaining to finish purchases before a significant increase in stamp duty costs.

From April 1st, substantial reductions to the "nil rate" stamp duty thresholds will come into effect, potentially adding thousands of pounds to the cost of buying a home.
