REFORM UK have been forced to remove social media content after breaching Scottish Parliament rules during Nigel Farage’s visit to Holyrood.
The Reform UK leader was pictured in videos and images shared online by the party’s official social media accounts during his visit on Monday – including wandering the halls of Holyrood , visiting Reform UK's parliamentary offices and inside the debating chamber.
The Reform UK leader said he was in Edinburgh to "meet with Malcolm Offord and his team", and he was pictured posing with MSPs.
But The National has been told that Reform UK were told to take down some of that social media content on Monday after parliamentary authorities determined that it didn’t comply with Holyrood’s media policy.
The policy prohibits filming and photography on the parliamentary estate for party political campaigning or promotional purposes, including material intended to generate support for a political party.

Holyrood officials have also since intervened over a further social media post, requesting changes to bring it into line with the rules.
A Scottish Parliament spokesperson said: “On Monday, at our request, the party removed online content that didn’t comply with the SPCB’s media policy. We have today sought edits to another post to ensure it is compliant.”
Reacting to the breach, an SNP spokesperson told The National: "The sight of Nigel Farage parading around Scotland's parliament on a marketing tour will be a grim sight for many Scots.
"It's a shame Reform MSPs would rather pose for selfies with Nigel Farage in an empty chamber than debate the right for Scots to decide their own future.”
They added: "The only way Scots can be rid of Nigel Farage and other Westminster establishment types is through a fresh start with independence."
Reform UK have been approached for comment.
