Actor Will Ferrell has been spotted drinking a pint in a pub in Wrexham. The Hollywood actor was seen chatting with Wrexham AFC fans in the Turf pub hours before the side's National League clash against Wealdstone.
The photo of the unlikely encounter with Ferrell, who is known for his performances in films including Elf, Step Brothers and The Other Guys, was posted online by a Wrexham fan, who captioned it: "Just Will Ferrell having a pint in the Turf #Wrexham."
While it has not been confirmed why the funnyman, who usually splits his time between New York and Orange County, is spending his Saturday in North Wales, it is assumed he is there to support his friend and Wrexham co-owner Ryan Reynolds.

Last year, he and Reynolds both watched on from the stands at Wembley as Wrexham took on Bromley in the FA Trophy final, and were joined by former England captain David Beckham.
Ferrell is known to be a big football fan and reportedly supports Chelsea, visiting Stamford Bridge on several occasions to cheer them on. However, he has also been seen watching Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium and even showed up at Fratton Park, the home of Portsmouth FC, in 2019 as a guest of owner Michael Eisner.
The actor is also a co-owner of Gareth Bale's former side LAFC in MLS and celebrated with the Welshman after they won their first ever MLS Cup last year.
Ferrell's visit comes days after Reynolds, who co-owns Wrexham with It's Always Sunny star Rob McElhenney, was left gutted after two late goals from Sheffield United knocked them out of the fourth round of the FA Cup.
