Hollywood star Julia Roberts has sent a congratulatory message to Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola after he guided the club to its first-ever Champions League crown.
City defeated Inter Milan 1-0 in Saturday's Champions League final in Istanbul to become champions of Europe for the first time in their history, scooping the Treble in the process. Midfield enforcer Rodri scored the only goal of the game, sweeping the ball home with 68 minutes on the clock.
Despite heading into the contest in Istanbul as overwhelming favourites, City were made to work for their maiden Champions League crown, as Inter applied plenty of pressure after falling behind. Federico Dimarco hit the woodwork before goalkeeper Ederson somehow denied Romelu Lukaku from close quarters.
And now Roberts, who was once described as one of three 'idols' in Guardiola's life, has congratulated the Catalan on leading City to the famous trophy.

Taking to Instagram, the famous actress posted: "Congratulations @pepteam for leading your team to be UCL champions."
Victory in Istanbul marked Guardiola's third Champions League triumph of his managerial career, previously winning the competition with Barcelona in 2009 and then 2011, beating Manchester United on both occasions. Despite that outstanding achievement, the City boss, speaking after his side's 7-0 win over RB Leipzig in the second leg of their last-16 showdown, admitted that he would remain a 'failure' because of Roberts.
Guardiola said: "I am a failure in the Champions League. If I win the Champions League three times in a row I will be a failure. I have three idols in my life: Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, and Julia Roberts. These are my three idols."
