Hilary Swank has announced that she is expecting twins with her husband Philip Schneider.
The 48-year-old actress, who has starred in a number of iconic Hollywood hits including PS I Love You, Million Dollar Baby and Boys Don’t Cry, revealed the happy news during an appearance on Good Morning America. The twins will be Hilary’s first children, after she married entrepreneur Philip in August 2018 following two years of dating, The Mirror reports .
The star gushed: “This is something that I've been wanting for a long time and my next thing is I'm gonna be a mom. And not just of one, but of two. I can’t believe it.

“It's so nice to be able to talk about it and share it. It's far enough along that I can share it. And I am sharing it right now for the first time,” she added.
Hilary also appeared on Live With Kelly and Ryan, where she told the hosts about her pregnancy journey so far. “I'm feeling great right now, even with the time you know, I'm on Pacific time, so I'm a little cross-eyed with that. But I'm feeling good right now,” she smiled.
Confirming that she is now in her second trimester, Hilary went on to explain how her blossoming baby bump had affected her day job on set as she had kept the pregnancy a secret from the crew in the earlier stages. “My clothes started not to fit so I had to, the other day... cut [my jeans] open,” she recalled.
“And then I put a jacket on that wasn't in continuity. And [they] came and said, 'That's not in continuity.' I said, 'Oh, I think it works.' 'It doesn't.' 'No, it does. I'm going to make it work.' She's like, 'If you're an executive producer, you can do it, but this is weird'.”
The actress described having twins as “double excitement”, adding that both hers and Philip’s grandmothers were also twins. “It’s such a blessing,” she said. “It’s a total miracle. It’s unbelievable.”
Hilary shared a series of photos of herself cradling her baby bump with her 1.1 million Instagram followers, along with the caption: “Coming soon… DOUBLE feature!” The post quickly racked up hundreds of congratulatory messages from fellow famous faces and fans of the star.
