Hollywood star Bill Murray makes surprise appearance in Limerick pub before bursting into song

Hollywood actor, Bill Murray, popped into a Limerick pub last night, and much to the surprise of customers he burst into song.

He has been popping up around Ireland over the past few days as he enjoys another break away here.

The 71-year-old is no stranger to the Emerald Isle and even toured the country in 2021 to film a YouTube series called ‘The Links Life’ - during which he was able to play at some of the best golf courses across the country.

Just days ago he was spotted at the All-Ireland hurling quarter-final clash between Cork and Galway at Semple Stadium in Thurles, Co Tipperary.

Images began to appear online of him at the game with businessman and racehorse owner JP McManus.

The latest sightings saw the Ghostbusters star breaking into song in a Co. Limerick pub as onlookers videoed his performance.

The clip shows the actor singing the Star of County Down in Charlie Malones on Wolfe Tone Street on Monday night.

Viewers have been hailing the video with one writing: “There's is Irish blood in him.”

Another said: “What a legend, looks like he’s having a ball.”
