Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter reassures scared mum-to-be after giving birth by C-section

Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter took time out to reassure a scared mum-to-be after welcoming her first child last month. Jorgie, who plays Theresa McQueen in the Channel 4 soap, gave birth to a baby boywith her fiancé Ollie Piotrowski.

The loved-up pair announced they were expecting in June by sharing an adorable video on Instagram. It showed Jorgie, her man and their pet dog moving their hands - and paw - to unveil the a sonogram photo. Fans were delighted for the couple as the joyous announcement came just months after Jorgie tragically suffered a miscarriage with quadruplets at 14 weeks.

Announcing their son's arrival into the world, Jorgie took to Instagram as she captioned a sweet image of the new parents smiling as Ollie carried their son with the words: "Welcome to the family… Our baby boy..." She also confirmed her boy's name to be Forest.

The star, from Eccles, has been sharing her journey as a new mum and on Wednesday, December 28, Jorgie answered fan questions on Instagram Stories. One pregnant Instagram user told Jorgie: "V Scared! C section booked for 10th Jan, interested in hearing your birth story/experience?"

Jorgie reassured: "I had a c section and had a great experience so try not to worry. I might share more details at a later date if people want to know more."

Jorgie underwent an elective C-section on November 29. Another mum-to-be asked her: "Hey are you breast feeding? How are you finding it? First time mum to be here." And, sharing a photo of Jorgie feeding Forest, she replied: "Yes, loving it. Not easy but we're getting there."

Jorgie revealed that she had been poorly at Christmas after a fellow mum told her: "Gutted we were all ill for my daughter's 1st Xmas." She responded with an image of herself lying the sofa: "Aww hope you're better now, Illness got us too. So many bugs going about."

Jorgie previously told fans: "The baby bubble is real," as she updated about motherhood. Sharing a photo of her holding Forest close to her chest as he looked up to the camera with his eyes widened she wrote: "Obsessed."

"Still pinching myself," she typed. "Can you believe he’s actually here?!" Jorgie and Ollie explained the decision behind his unusual name. "I keep looking at him thinking 'I can’t believe you’re here'," Jorgie said in her first interview since her son's arrival with Hello! magazine. Property developer Ollie, 34, who is also a father to eight-year-old son Alfie, said Jorgie "took the lead" on their baby’s name.

He said: "We got down to two or three options, but we didn’t want him to have a similar name to anyone else in his class at school so we decided Forest was the one. I love the name."
