Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter has revealed she is expecting a baby with her fiancé Ollie Piotrowski following the loss of quadruplets last year. The 34-year-old shared the joyous news with her social media followers yesterday (Tuesday, June 7).
The actress, who plays Theresa McQueen in the Channel 4 soap, shared a video on her TikTok and Instagram accounts showing her and her husband-to-be's hands along with their pet dogs paws moving away from the shot to slowly reveal a baby scan photograph underneath. She captioned the post "Hopeful beginnings" whilst the music playing over the top was a cover of the song 'Can't Help Falling In Love'.
Jorgie has previously spoken about the couple's heartbreaking loss last year, as they were expecting quadruples but sadly had been told they had miscarried at a routine scan. Joining Loose Women in March, she said "the sadness" had opened both her and Ollie up together and brought them closer.
The couple got engaged in December 2021 and on Tuesday, the former I'm A Celeb and Dancing on Ice star revealed the happy news she was expecting a baby. Since posting the sweet video, thousands of fans and her Hollyoaks co-stars have been quick to comment congratulating the pair.
Kieron Richardson, who plays Ste Hay in the soap said: "The best news baby pio-ports." Jennifer Metcalfe who plays Mercedes McQueen on the show added "Cannot wait for this chapter xx" to which Jorgie replied: "I can't wait for you to be my guide."
Goldie McQueen actress Chelsee Healey said she was "crying" and posted a stream of love hearts and emotional faces. The official Hollyoaks Instagram account also commented: "THIS IS JUST BEAUTIFUL! Congratulations."
Doctor Who's Mandip Gill - who played Phoebe McQueen on Hollyoaks - also posted: "Congratulations to you both. The most beautiful news."
Her former Dancing on Ice skating partner Matt Evers also wrote "Ohhh wow... congratulations you three!!!". She's also received messages from other soap stars, Natalie Anderson added: "So beautiful!!! Congratulations to you guys. Just gorgeous xx."
