Hollyoaks actor Gary Lucy is lucky to be alive after he was involved in a horror car crash a day on from spending Christmas with Laura Anderson in Stirling.
The 41-year-old, who found love on Celebs Go Dating with Scots Love Island star Laura, shared a photo of his badly damaged car on social media. The Footballers Wives star captioned the photo: "Someone was looking out for me today."
The father-of-four shared another photo of the front of the smashed car, adding: "Gary 9 lives." Sharing a video from the hospital, Laura said: "Happy Boxing Day. We've had a lovely time," before the two burst out laughing at their situation. The 33-year-old also asked Gary: "How are you feeling on your morphine?"
Standing in his crutches, Gary said: "Yeah pretty f***ing good to be fair," before Laura starts giggling. She continues: "Sorry, this isn't funny. Love you," before going into kiss the actor.
In the hospital video, Laura filmed Gary standing in crutches with a brace around his knee. Taking to Instagram to share a timeline of their day, Laura shared a collage of snaps ranging from the couples romantic Christmas Day together to Gary in the hospital.
Time stamping their day, the Scots reality star added a photo of the crashed car with '10am' alongside another photo of Gary in a hospital bed, tagged at 11am. She added a photo of Gary's severely swollen knee, tagged at 1pm, before a photo of the soap star standing in his crutches at 6pm.
The final photo in the collage showed the actor sleeping alongside Laura's dog Buddy on her couch.
Laura's representatives have been approached for comment. It is unknown at this time what caused the crash, or exactly what Gary's injuries are.
The proud father shares India, 12, Elvis, six, and two-year-old Sadie with ex wife, Natasha Grey, who he was with for four years.
The crash comes after the couple had a romantic weekend in Scotland - spending Christmas Day with Laura's family in Stirling.
Sharing a video on social media, Laura showed off her dad cooking away at the stove. She can the be heard saying: "How you getting on daddio? Let me see your apron!"
Laura's dad then turned round to reveal his apron - which featured a picture of Brendan O'Carroll's character Mrs Brown from BBC hit comedy Mrs Brown's Boys. Meanwhile, Gary could be heard in the background having a conversation with her family.
