There was a Hollyoaks reunion rinkside this weekend as Carley Stenson made her debut on Dancing on Ice. The actress was among eleven celebrities who signed up to the ITV skating show and took to the ice for the first time on Sunday night (January 22).
Carley, who played Steph Cunningham in the Channel 4 soap from 2000 to 2011, was among the second batch of famous faces to perform for the first time in the competition after the 2023 series launched with the first six couples the previous weekend.
And the former soap star, who was supported by her actor and Strictly finalist husband Danny Mac in the audience, got off to an amazing start as she topped the leaderboard during the episode with a score of 32.
Dressed in a pale blue sparkly dress, Carley, 40, glided her way through the routine to Say You Love Me by Jessie Ware alongside her partner Mark Hanretty. Jayne Torvill said in her comments: "I mean it was absolutely seamless and it had everything, it had beautiful lifts, beautiful skating, matching lines – wonderful."
As well as Danny, who played Dodger Savage in Hollyoaks, being in the audience former soap star Sarah Jayne Dunn also showed her support for Carley - complete with a homemade banner. The actress, who played Mandy Richardson in the C4 show before being let go last year after joining OnlyFans, was spotted on-screen but also took to Instagram to cement her support for Carley.
The 41-year-old shared a selfie of herself and her pal backstage and gushed: "Well wasn’t she incredible." She went on: "So proud of you my beautiful friend, you nailed your performance, as always!
"Can’t wait to see you shine week on week and for everyone to see just what a beautiful human you are inside and out. Love ya." And fans were quick to respond to show Carley their support and share their delight at the pair still being pals.

Meanwhile, Sarah also stole the show thanks to her outfit. The actress looked stunning in a sparkling purple suit that she paired with a simple black bralette to show off her taut abs. She could be seen in one snap posing next to the ice before grinning as she held up a sign which read: "Go Carley Go!
