Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter has explained the adorable meaning behind her son's name after giving birth last month.
The actress, 34, who plays Theresa McQueen in the Channel 4 soap, decided to call the tot Forest.
Fans flocked to congratulate Jorgie when she revealed the unusual moniker and now she's revealed why she plumped for the name.
Speaking about the newborn, who she shares with fiancé Ollie Piotrowski, 33, the star said: "Forest is the most wonderful gift.
"We’ve got the Christmas trees up around the house and a 12ft Nutcracker in the front garden. And now, with baby Forest here, everything feels even more magical. I love him so much."
Proud dad Ollie - who also has an eight-year-old son Alfie - added: "Jorgie took the lead. We got down to two or three options, but we didn’t want him to have a similar name to anyone else in his class at school so we decided Forest was the one.
"I love the name," he told Hello! magazine.
Jorgie announced her pregnancy at the start of June, sharing the news with fans in an adorable video.
In the clip, the actress, Ollie, Alfie and the family's dog took it in turns to remove their hands — and paws — to reveal the baby scan.
Jorgie captioned the post: "Hopeful beginnings …"
The star's pregnancy news came more than a year after the actress lost quadruplets at 14 weeks in a tragic miscarriage.
At the time, Jorgie told the The Sun’s Fabulous magazine : “It didn’t make sense. I’d not had any sign that things weren’t OK. No pain or bleeding, I was getting bigger, my boobs were growing, I had so much hair on my body and I still felt pregnant. When the consultant performed the scan then said: ‘You’ve miscarried,’ I was in total shock.”
Despite their devastation after their tragic loss, Jorgie and Ollie stayed optimistic about welcoming children together in the future.
The actress explained she was taking fertility supplements, including folic acid and was "mindful about not getting too stressed'.
On Nov 29 the couple welcomed Forest into the world after which Jorgie shared a sweet snap of her, Ollie and their bundle of joy leaving the hospital.
Alongside the gorgeous pic, the new mum wrote: "Welcome to the family…. Our baby boy .. Forest."
