Holly Willoughby talks 'anxiety' as she's forced to apologise to Phillip Schofield

Holly Willoughby admitted that she was suffering from 'anxiety' as she hosted Wednesday's This Morning.

The mother-of-three was joined by an extra guest as she hosted the latest edition of the ITV daytime show alongside her good pal Phillip Schofield.

As the duo greeted viewers, Phillip said: "Welcome to your Wednesday's This Morning," as Holly continued: "It's a very special Wednesday today because look who's joined us in the studio this morning.

"You know, I was just saying to Phil it is a bit like having your kids here when you've got your pet here. You feel that like anxiety that anything could happen at any moment," Holly said.

"Well it did!" Phil interjected as Holly replied: "Yes it did! She's already slightly let herself down this morning. Being quite a big dog with a big, sort of waggy tail, she walked straight past Phil's cup of tea and knocked it clean off!"

As the pair looked at the carpet where the accident took place, Holly said: "It doesn't look that bad on the tele, gotta say!"

"No, the team have done a good job at mopping that up!" Phillip added.

"But I'll take a spillage of tea over a spillage of..." Holly then joked, as Phillip confirmed: "Well, she's been outside hasn't she!"

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV and ITV Hub.
