Holly Willoughby sported a new look as she returned to present This Morning - and she had her eight-year-old son to thank for the change.
The 41-year-old presenter was back on the ITV sofa alongside Phillip Schofield on Monday morning after the pair took a break over the festive period, and Holly unveiled a new shorter haircut as she returned to her presenting duties. Taking to Instagram the night before, the star revealed that she had bravely put her son Chester in charge of giving some of her locks the chop.
Holly shared a clip with her eight million Instagram followers on Sunday evening of Chester snipping a good couple of inches off her hair, captioning the video: "Chester decided it was time... when your eight year old gets hold of the scissors". Holly understandably seemed to be a little nervous about her son's hairdressing abilities, gasping as he made the first cut and pleading: "Make it nice and straight!"

Fans were quick to share their concern over the final look in the comments section, with one person admitting: "I'm a hairdresser and anxiety just kicked in", while another remarked: "This looks like it won't end well!" But thankfully the eight-year-old was helped out by an adult hairdresser, and fans were full of praise for the final look when Holly unveiled it on Instagram on Monday morning.
"Good morning and happy new hair!" she wrote, sporting a floral dress and nude high heels as she showed off the new shoulder-length style. Fellow This Morning star Alison Hammond was quick to praise the look, leaving a heart-eyes emoji in the comments section and calling Holly "stunning".
"Chester has done a great job!" one fan also commented, while several others hailed the star as "brave" for letting her son loose on her locks. "Looking fabulous, glad you're back on This Morning," another fan praised.
