Presenter Holly Willoughby revealed that she got emotional over a moment that had been overshadowed by the overwhelming amount of resignations from politicians. She made the comment on This Morning on Wednesday, July 6 with her co-star Philip Schofield.
This was the first time that both stars have been together since the resignations from Westminster which started on Tuesday with Sajid Javid and Rishi Sunak. Since then, there have been a number of high-profile resignations throughout the week writes the Manchester Evening News.
Mr Sunak and Mr Javid quit their roles as Chancellor and Health Secretary and in revealing letters, Mr Sunak commented that: 'the public rightly expect the government to be conducted properly, competently and seriously'. Javid wrote that "it is with most enormous regret that I must tell you that I can no longer, in good conscience, continue serving in this government."
