Ukrainian schoolgirl Amelia moved people around the world when a video of her singing Frozen's Let It Go went viral around the world.
And This Morning presenter Holly Willoughby was emotional as she gave an update on Amelia's plight. The 41-year-old presenter has been left tearful this week when discussing the unfolding humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.
Little Amelia sang the song while sheltering in an underground bunker with her family following the Russian invasion of Ukraine. You can read more about the video here.
Holly has three kids of her own - Harry, 12, Belle, 10, and Chester, seven, with her husband Dan Baldwin - and was visibly emotional as she watched a heartbreaking clip of the seven-year-old girl singing.
Co-host Phillip Schofield provided an update on the young girl, telling viewers on Wednesday’s show that she has made it safely out of Ukraine.
Phillip said: “We were reporting earlier in the week - and it was very upsetting to see - about Amelia Anisovych, who went viral last week singing Let It Go from Frozen in a bunker in Kyiv.
“The latest news on her is that she’s made it safely out of Ukraine. She’s now with her brother.”
However, beside him Holly was visibly emotional and muttered that Amelia had escaped the war torn country, but “not with her parents”.
This comes after Holly wiped away tears during a segment on Tuesday, as Phillip told viewers of an 11-year-old who fled war torn Ukraine on his own.
Phillip told ITV viewers of the unnamed Ukrainian child: “He travelled 600 miles across the country to the Slovakian border by himself. He’s been reunited with relatives.
“He journeyed almost the entire width of the country with a plastic bag and a phone number written on his hand. His parents had to stay in Ukraine.
“Thanks to that number written on his hand, staff managed to contact relatives who came to meet him.”
