Holly Willoughby forced to tell Phillip Schofield and ITV This Morning viewers 'I'm fine' after off air incident

Holly Willoughby was forced to address an off-air incident after Phillip Schofield brought it up to viewers live on This Morning. The pair were back at the helm of the ITV daytime show on Tuesday (March 14) and were joined by a few special guests - and not just of the human kind.

Guests on the second episode of the week included legendary children's TV star Paul Chuckle who spoke about the death of his beloved brother, Barry, and why he is supporting the Marie Curie Great Daffodil Appeal and a National Day of Reflection, which takes place on March 23.

Criminologist David Wilson also joined the hosts on the sofa to discuss the Murdaugh Murders and how one family could be the centre of multiple unsolved crimes and how they got away with it after father, Alex, was last week given a life sentence for the murder of his wife, Maggie, and son, Paul, in June 2021.

But in lighter news, This Morning had sent Josie Gibson off to a farm to present a segment on the start of lambing season. However, it wasn't just Josie who was getting up close and personal with animals as Holly, 42, and Phillip, 60, were joined in the show's 'green room' by a sheep and two lambs.

At the end of the chat with the animal's handler, it was agreed that the hosts could name the lambs and chose to name them after their mums, Lynne and Pat, ahead of Mother's Day this Sunday (March 19). This Morning then headed off to a break, giving Holly and Phillip time to get sorted and ready to continue on with the show after their animal encounter.

However, as cameras went back into the studio, Phillip was keen to check in on his co-star and friend as he revealed that Holly had been left 'cornered' in the studio by one of their farmyard guests. Appearing in the kitchen for today's cookery segment, Phillip confirmed: "We have thoroughly washed our hands. We are washed."

He then asked: "Are you alright by the way?" to which Holly replied: "Yes I am fine. I am fine. You know I am a big old wimp. Bigger than Bailey, essentially, and I get a little bit...." As Phillip then remarked: "I wish we'd got a camera on when we finished the item and the sheep actually got you in the corner."

Holly explained: "It actually did. It got me in the corner and went 'maaah' breathing hot sheep breath straight into my face and it did make me a little bit jumpy." Wanting to move on, she turned to Juliet Sear, who was ready for her 'no-bake' baking segment, Holly said: "But anyway, we have cake now!"
