Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby revealed they were going for lunch on Thursday afternoon after hosting This Morning with one another.
Father-of-two Phillip will turn 60 on Friday 1st April, and clearly decided to start the celebrations early.
At the end of Thursday's show, Lisa Snowdon presented Phillip with a stunning birthday cake as Holly said: "Before we go, we couldn't end the show without wishing Phil a very happy birthday!"
"It's tomorrow by the way," Phil replied as Holly added: "Yeah but we're not here tomorrow!"
"Thank you!" Phil said as he blew out the huge sparkler on top of his cake as guest chef Gok Wan told him to "have the best day".
"Look at this, what a great day! And have a wonderful birthday Phil, you deserve it," Gok said, as Phil revealed: "We're going out for lunch in a bit."
"Lovely, I'll go drop the car off then!" Gok replied as Holly was heard saying: "Danger danger!" before muttering something about picking herself "up from the floor".
It comes after Holly presented Phil with a different cake backstage before Thursday's show began.
Taking to Instagram, Holly posted a couple of videos on her story which showed a female member of the crew presenting a cake covered in sweets to the veteran TV presenter as Holly and everyone else sang.
Phil also shared some snaps of his Instagram Story, including a photo of the backstage corridor which was covered in gold and silver balloons.
He then revealed some of the presents he'd been gifted, which included a bottle of champagne and several packets of ginger nut biscuits.
Naturally, this caused quite the commotion on Twitter as This Morning viewers were left in disbelief over Phillip's real age.
"Phillip Schofield is 60? WHAT?? He does not look it, that's for sure," one fan tweeted.
"Can't get my head around the fact Phillip Schofield is 60. He's older than my nan," another quipped.
"Safe to say Phillip Schofield doesn't look 60. What's his secret? I'd love to know," someone else penned.
A fourth chimed: "Happy Birthday Phillip Schofield. Looks like such fun at This Morning today."
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV and ITV Hub.
