Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield are said to have sparked serious concerns from National Television Awards bosses over the negative reaction they might receive, in light of recent events.
After shortlists had been revealed and the public given another opportunity to cast their votes, this year’s awards were all set to take place earlier this month, before a decision was taken to postpone them the day after The Queen died. They are now set to take place in London on Thursday, October 13. But, having already suffered a blow after missing out on the shortlist for Best Presenter, Holly and Phillip have reportedly caused some worry over possible boos from the crowd, due to the ‘queue jump’ scandal they’ve been at the centre of.
The fact they got into Westminster Hall, at the time Her Majesty was lying in state there, continue to spark a backlash against the This Morning hosts, after they were immediately accused of ‘jumping the queue,’ with their justification being that they were given press acces s to report on the events, just like others members of the world’s media.

However, sensing that there still might be some animosity towards them by the time the National Television Awards take place in a few weeks time, a source told The Sun: They could be booed walking down the red carpet or even on stage "It is a major concern."
While Holly and Phillip failed to make the cut for Best Presenter at this year’s NTAs, their This Morning colleague Alison Hammond. However, she is expected to miss out on actually winning the trophy, with Ant and Dec set to continue their long running winning streak in the category.
Holly and Philip and Alison could still end up on the winners' rostrum though as This Morning is favourite to take home the Best Daytime accolade.
