Holly Willoughby is said to be ready to "rejuvenate" This Morning with a brand new host after Phillip Schofield's exit.
The ITV presenter, who fronted the show with Phillip for 14 years, has been hitting headlines over the last week due to her soured friendship with her co-star.
After weeks of intense scrutiny, Phil announced he was stepping down as presenter after 21 years with 'immediate effect'.
Holly took to social media to wish him well and said the sofa "wouldn't be the same without him."
Fans and bookies have spent weeks choosing their favourite stars to replace Phillip, with many leaning towards Dermot O'Leary and Alison Hammond.
And now, it was reported that Holly is excited about the show's future.
"She doesn’t want to think too far into the future because she knows it’ll hurt Phil. But she’s looking forward to being paired up with someone new.
"She wants to rejuvenate This Morning, because she knows her stint with Phillip has had its day," a source said to OK! magazine.
Mirror have contacted her reps for comment.
Phillip's departure comes as it was reported that Holly and Phil's relationship had "cooled" in recent months.
He announced his exit on Saturday afternoon with a statement that read: "I have always been proud to cover fascinating stories on This Morning. But recently, This Morning itself has become the story.
"Throughout my career in TV – including the very difficult last few days – I have always done my best to be honourable and kind. I understand that ITV has decided the current situation can’t go on, and I want to do what I can to protect the show that I love.

"So I have agreed to step down from This Morning with immediate effect, in the hope that the show can move forward to a bright future. I’d like to thank everyone who has supported me – especially This Morning’s amazing viewers – and I’ll see you all for the Soap Awards next month."
Holly will also not be on the sofa on Monday morning due to previously planned time off.
Instead, members of the " This Morning family" are set to fill in Phil over the coming weeks.
