Holly and Phillip Schofield's queuegate excuse was 'a LIE' claims Eamonn Holmes

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield have come under fire once more, with Eamonn Holmes claiming the pair "lied" to the nation.

The presenters had been slammed after allegedly jumping the queue for the lying in state of the late Queen Elizabeth back in September 2022.

Following the public outrage, Holly and Phillip issued a statement via This Morning, insisting they were there for work purposes and did not file past Her Late Majesty.

Now, Eamonn has hit out in a bombshell interview and sensationally claimed the pair lied and no film was made.

Speaking on GB News, he said: "Let's get on to the Queen's funeral – they were there to make a film on the Queen's funeral.

"Have you seen the film?" he asked Dan Wootton who responded: "There was no film."

"Well apparently they were there to make that, that's the official line given by the editor of the programme," Eamonn added before continuing: "They were there to make a film.

"Unless there's any documentary evidence of this, I would put it to you, that is another lie!"

The disgruntled star went on to claim: "Phillip Schofield admits he lies, ITV lie, the place is a den of inequity."

During an episode of This Morning last year, Holly said: "Like hundreds of accredited journalists we were given permission to access the hall.

"The rules were that we would be quickly escorted through an entrance and not file passed the coffin.

"None of the broadcasters and journalists took anyone's places in the queue.

"We of course respected their views. Please know that we would never jump a queue."

Ahead of the statement being read out, This Morning took to Instagram saying: "Hello everyone, we would like to clarify something. We asked Phillip and Holly to be part of a film for this Tuesday’s programme.

"They did not jump the queue, have VIP access or file past the Queen lying in state – but instead were there in a professional capacity as part of the world’s media to report on the event."

Eamonn has made his dislike for Phillip no secret in recent years, often criticising the former This Morning presenter on social media.

The legendary broadcaster recently blasted his former colleague, claiming he is "delusional", as well as sensationally claiming that "everyone" hated Phillip.

Speaking to outspoken broadcaster Dan Wootton, Holmes said: "He created an atmosphere where people hated him, that people would put avoid them in the corridor, he didn't look at anybody, he didn't know anybody's name.."

Meanwhile, sources told the Mirror that members of staff at ITV had become "fed up" with Phillip after it was alleged that he had "too much" power within the network.

Our mole said: "He had too much power at This Morning and those on set were getting sick of it...

"A source that works there said he doesn't even talk or know the names of the crew and workers behind the scenes. It became a toxic atmosphere."
