With summer in full swing, some are looking for a last-minute get away to the sun. A trip abroad can be expensive, especially if you want to experience the best of food, hotels and even location.
But fortunately for those in Nottinghamshire, we can get to one of the best beaches in Europe for under £30. It's easy to fall into the trap of thinking you have to pay thousands to get a five-star experience, but fortunately, you can fly to one of Europe's top beach locations from East Midlands Airport this summer, without breaking the bank.
The airport offers a number of flights over to Palma in Mallorca, a Spanish island just off the east coast. And the picturesque location in the Balearic Sea is home to a gorgeous sandy beach.
According to the TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards 2022, the Playa de Muro, in the northeast of Mallorca near Alcudia, is the third best beach in Europe. This 3.7-mile-long beach has calm and shallow waters, which are great for swimming in, as well as plenty of water sports available.
Holidaymakers can head out on Wednesday, July 5, with Ryanair for just £29.37. With a flight time of just 2hr 25, you don't have to travel far to experience the best of what Europe has to offer.
One TripAdvisor user said: "Beautiful clean beach, white sand, clear water. Lots of sun loungers with parasols available for €10, parasols had a safe box attached which was helpful for storing valuables." Another added: "Lovely warm shallow sea and golden sand. A pair of sunbeds cost 15 euros for the day and the parasols all have safes attached to them.
"Pedalos were 20 euros and were great fun." So if you fancy a last-minute get away this July, why not book at flight to Palma and soak up some sun.
