A man has been charged with murder after another man was found in a Hobart property yesterday with blunt-force injuries to the head.
Police were called to a disturbance at a house on Liverpool Street in Hobart at about 3:30pm on Tuesday.
When they arrived, officers found a 51-year-old man from Glenorchy with head injuries, who was taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital in a serious condition.
He died earlier today.
John Paul McDonald, 52, of Hobart, was charged this afternoon and appeared briefly in an out-of-hours session of the Hobart Magistrates Court this evening.
He did not enter a plea, and was remanded in custody to reappear before a magistrate tomorrow.
Police will allege the two men were known to each other.
