HMRC has issued a warning that the tax rules for those working from home have changed recently. You could be prosecuted if you don't keep up to date.
The pandemic changed life from many UK workers. The work from home if you can rule forced many out of the office and into a corner of their own homes. While many have found working from home a benefit, it has also hit some in the pocket as they faced paying for heating and electricity when they would usually be out of the house. And with rising bills it is an increasing pressure.
Some help has been available if you work for at least part of your week from your own home. However, new rules could mean some people are no longer entitled to the tax relief of the past two years.
